This temple in addition to serving as a place of worship, the temple also supports and showcases many young and talented classical artists. In 2005, we founded the Sri Varasiththi Vinaayagar Hindu College to educate and instill the values of Hindu religion, culture, and the Tamil language in our youth. Currently, the school has more than 220 students and 10 teachers.
Priests from the Sri Varasiththi Vinaayagar Temple regularly visit local healthcare facilities, including Scarborough Grace Hospital, Scarborough General Hospital, Yee Hong Old Age Centre, Providence Healthcare, and Craiglee Nursing Home. They perform prayers and offer comfort to patients, residents, and their families.
