The story of Lord Ganesha and the demon Kaverasura is another popular story from Hindu mythology. The story goes as follows:

Once upon a time, there was a demon named Kaverasura who had the power to control the waters of the river Kaveri. He used this power to flood the surrounding areas and terrorize the people who lived there.

The people prayed to Lord Ganesha to help them. Lord Ganesha, who was known as the remover of obstacles, heard their prayers and decided to help them.

Lord Ganesha took the form of a young boy and went to meet Kaverasura. Kaverasura was surprised to see a young boy approaching him and asked him what he wanted.

Lord Ganesha told Kaverasura that he had come to learn the art of controlling the waters from him. Kaverasura, who was pleased to have a disciple, agreed to teach him.

Lord Ganesha learned the art of controlling the waters from Kaverasura, and after a few days, he told Kaverasura that he had learned enough and was ready to go back.

Kaverasura, who had grown fond of Lord Ganesha, asked him to stay back. However, Lord Ganesha insisted that he had to go back to his people.

Kaverasura realized that Lord Ganesha had tricked him and became angry. He used his powers to create a huge wave and tried to drown Lord Ganesha.

However, Lord Ganesha was quick and used his knowledge to control the wave. He used his powers to make the water recede, and Kaverasura was defeated.
