॥ श्री सिद्धिविनायक स्तोत्रम् ॥

Verse 1

विघ्नेश विघ्नचयखण्डननामधेय श्रीशंकरात्मज सुराधिपवन्द्यपाद । दुर्गामहाव्रतफलाखिलमंगलात्मन् विघ्नं ममापहर सिद्धिविनायक त्वम् ॥1॥

English Transliteration (Lyrics) Vighneśa vighnacaya-khaṇḍana-nāmadheya Śrī-śaṅkarātmaja surādhipa-vandya-pāda | Durgāmahāvrata-phalākhila-maṅgalātman Vighnaṁ mamāpahara siddhivināyaka tvam ||1||

English Meaning O Lord of Obstacles (Vighnesha), whose very name shatters masses of hindrances! O glorious Son of Shiva, whose feet are revered by the King of Gods! O Soul of all auspiciousness, who is the fruit of the great Durgā fast! O Siddhivināyaka, please remove all obstacles from my path.

Verse 2

सत्पद्मरागमणिवर्णशरीरकान्ति: श्रीसिद्धिबुद्धिपरिचर्चितकुंकुमश्री: । दक्षस्तने वलयितातिमनोज्ञशुण्डो विघ्नं ममापहर सिद्धिविनायक त्वम् ॥2॥

English Transliteration (Lyrics) Satpadmarāgamaṇi-varṇa-śarīrakāntiḥ Śrī-siddhi-buddhi-paricar cita-kuṅkuma-śrīḥ | Dakṣastane valayitāti-manojña-śuṇḍo Vighnaṁ mamāpahara siddhivināyaka tvam ||2||

English Meaning O Siddhivināyaka, whose body shines with the colour of a true Padma Raga gem! O Glorious One, smeared with Kuṅkuma (saffron) by Śrī Siddhi and Buddhi (his consorts, personifying success and intellect)! Whose trunk is exquisitely beautiful and coiled towards the right side of his chest! O Siddhivināyaka, please remove all obstacles from my path.

Verse 3

पाशांकुशाब्जपरशूंश्च दधच्चतुर्भि- र्दोर्भिश्च शोणकुसुमस्त्रगुमांगजात: । सिन्दूरशोभितललाटविधुप्रकाशो विघ्नं ममापहर सिद्धिविनायक त्वम् ॥3॥

English Transliteration (Lyrics) Pāśāṅkuśābja-paraśūṁśca dadhac catur bhi-* r dorbhiśca śoṇakusuma-srag umāṅga-jātaḥ | Sindūra-śobhita-lalāṭa-vidhu-prakāśo Vighnaṁ mamāpahara siddhivināyaka tvam ||3||

English Meaning O Siddhivināyaka, who holds the noose (pāśa), goad (aṅkuśa), lotus (abja), and axe (paraśu) in his four arms! O Son of Umā (Pārvatī), who wears a garland of red flowers! Whose forehead, adorned with vermilion (sindūra), shines like the moon! O Siddhivināyaka, please remove all obstacles from my path.

Verse 4

कार्येषु विघ्नचयभीतविरंचिमुख्यै: सम्पूजित: सुरवरैरपि मोदकाद्यै: । सर्वेषु च प्रथममेव सुरेषु पूज्यो विघ्नं ममापहर सिद्धिविनायक त्वम् ॥4॥

English Transliteration (Lyrics) Kāryeṣu vighnacaya-bhīta-virañci-mukhyaiḥ Sampūjitaḥ sura-varairapi modakādyaiḥ | Sarveṣu ca prathama-meva sureṣu pūjyo Vighnaṁ mamāpahara siddhivināyaka tvam ||4||

English Meaning O Siddhivināyaka, who is worshipped with Modakas and other offerings by the chief Gods, including Brahmā, who fear the accumulation of obstacles in their tasks! Who is foremost among all the Gods and is to be worshipped first! O Siddhivināyaka, please remove all obstacles from my path.

Verse 5

शीघ्रांचनस्खलनतुंगरवोर्ध्वकण्ठ- स्थूलेन्दुरुद्रगणहासितदेवसंघ: । शूर्पश्रुतिश्च पृथुवर्तुलतुंगतुन्दो विघ्नं ममापहर सिद्धिविनायक त्वम् ॥5॥

English Transliteration (Lyrics) Śīghrāñcana-skhalana-tuṅga-ravordhva-kaṇṭha- sthūlendru-rudragaṇa-hāsita-devasaṅghaḥ | Śūrpa-śrutiśca pṛthu-vartula-tuṅga-tundo Vighnaṁ mamāpahara siddhivināyaka tvam ||5||

English Meaning O Siddhivināyaka, whose loud, quick-moving, and lofty roar (like a trumpet) causes the large moon (Indu) and the Rudra Gaṇas to smile! Whose ears are like winnowing baskets (śūrpa-śruti) and whose belly is broad, round, and high! O Siddhivināyaka, please remove all obstacles from my path.

Verse 6

यज्ञोपवीतपदलम्भितनागराजो मासादिपुण्यददृशीकृतऋक्षराज: । भक्ताभयप्रद दयालय विघ्नराज विघ्नं ममापहर सिद्धिविनायक त्वम् ॥6॥

English Transliteration (Lyrics) Yajñopavīta-pada-lambhita-nāgarājo Māsādi-puṇyada-dṛśīkṛta-ṛkṣarājaḥ | Bhaktābhaya-prada dayālaya vighnarāja Vighnaṁ mamāpahara siddhivināyaka tvam ||6||

English Meaning O Lord of Obstacles (Vighnarāja), who wears the King of Serpents (Nāgarāja) as his sacred thread (Yajñopavīta)! Who bestows the merit of months of virtuous deeds simply by his sight! O Giver of fearlessness to devotees, O abode of mercy! O Siddhivināyaka, please remove all obstacles from my path.

Verse 7

सद्रत्नसारततिराजितसत्किरीट: कौसुम्भचारुवसनद्वय ऊर्जितश्री:। सर्वत्र मंगलकरस्मरणप्रतापो विघ्नं ममापहर सिद्धिविनायक त्वम् ॥7॥

English Transliteration (Lyrics) Sadratnasāra-tatirājita-satkirīṭaḥ Kausumbha-cāru-vasanadvaya ūrjita-śrīḥ | Sarvatra maṅgalakara-smaraṇa-pratāpo Vighnaṁ mamāpahara siddhivināyaka tvam ||7||

English Meaning O Siddhivināyaka, whose beautiful crown shines with clusters of the essence of great gems! Who is glorious and wears two charming garments of safflower (red/orange)! Whose power is such that remembering him brings auspiciousness everywhere! O Siddhivināyaka, please remove all obstacles from my path.

Verse 8

देवान्तकाद्यसुरभीतसुरार्तिहर्ता विज्ञानबोधनवरेण तमोऽपहर्ता । आनन्दितत्रिभुवनेश कुमारबन्धो विघ्नं ममापहर सिद्धिविनायक त्वम् ॥8॥

English Transliteration (Lyrics) Devāntakādya-sura-bhīta-surārti-hartā Vijñāna-bodhana-vareṇa tamo’pahartā | Ānandita-tribhuvaneśa kumāra-bandho Vighnaṁ mamāpahara siddhivināyaka tvam ||8||

English Meaning O Siddhivināyaka, who removes the distress of the Gods who are terrified by demons like Devāntaka! Who dispels the darkness (of ignorance) through the boon of supreme knowledge! O Joy of the Lord of the three worlds (Shiva), O Brother of Kumāra (Kārtikeya)! O Siddhivināyaka, please remove all obstacles from my path.

Conclusion
