Gajananam bhutaganadi sevitam
I bow to Lord Ganesha, the elephant-faced one, who is served by celestial beings and attendants (bhutaganas).
Kapittha jambū phala chāru bhakṣaṇam
He loves to eat the delicious fruits of kapittha (wood apple) and jambu (rose apple).
Umaasutam shoka-vināsha kāraṇam
He is the beloved son of Goddess Uma (Parvati) and the remover of all sorrow and pain.
